Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a unique cross-border health service that operates under the jurisdiction of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Providing the Best of Health to more than 250,000 people, across an area spanning North East Victoria to Southern New South Wales, AWH has grown to be the second-largest regional health service in Victoria and provides healthcare services comparable to metropolitan centres.
Services are provided from 17 sites across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. There are 30 sub-acute beds, 95 mental health beds, five intensive care beds, seven operating theatres, and 117 general beds. Currently plans are underway for the expansion of the Albury Emergency Department and Specialist Clinics plus a new mental health rehabilitation residential service at the Wodonga campus.
