Northam Health Service is the major Integrated District Health Service for the Western Wheatbelt Health District. It is a public facility that houses an emergency department and provides a range of services including domiciliary care, hospice care, obstetric services, oncology and a rehabilitation unit.
The facility underwent a redevelopment in 2018 to include a comprehensive and expanded emergency department and improvements to cancer and renal services in Northam. The new hospital will be the hub for community health services including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling, community health nursing, community mental health and aged care support.
